Steve Jobs 1955-2011

Steve Jobs was best known for the unique talents he brought to the creation of Apple, the iconic company that brought technological innovation in personal computers to new levels.  Apple brought the computer to the mass market and introduced innovations like the first graphic interface. They later introduced the i-pods, then i-phones, and then i-pads, products that changed whole industries as well as changing the way we live.

Jobs also brought his genius to Pixar Animation Studios, which pioneered in the film industry and created animated films that have become beloved classics, including Toy Story and Finding Nemo.

Jobs was a Democrat who once considered a run for governor of California. In 2010, Forbes Magazine ranked him the 36th richest man in the world. His legendary charisma and vision changed the way we think and live our lives.

But most of all, he was one of the geniuses who took us all into the age of computerized information – and made it fun.

As Apple has written in their final tribute to their founder and inspiration:

“Steve left behind a company that only he could have built,
and his spirit will always be the foundation of Apple.”
