On April 7, Jews around the world will observe Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Day. The date marks the anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising, when Jewish resistance fighters, imprisoned in a tiny neighborhood in Warsaw, Poland, rose up against the Nazis.
It is now more than 68 years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This article is being sent by e-mail as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated with the German and Russian Peoples looking the other way!
In Europe, during the 1930s, people said, “It cannot happen here.” But it happened, and it can happen again. Now, more than ever, with Iraq, Iran, and others, claiming the Holocaust to be ‘a myth,’ it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets, because there are others who would like to do it again.
This message is intended to reach 40 million people worldwide! This time of year, at Passover and Easter, we remember the suffering of our ancestors and know that it can happen again. And it can happen here as well as anywhere else.
